We encourage parents to actively participate in their child’s education. Research has found that there are numerous benefits to a child’s educational experience when parents are involved. Some of these benefits include better: grades, attendance, test scores, motivation, and self-esteem as well as lower: violent behavior, suspension, and drug/alcohol use. Whether it is helping your child with their homework every night, stuffing Tuesday folders, attending school events, or volunteering for PTA fundraisers, your involvement in your child’s education will enable your child to succeed.
Our goal is to provide parents with the resources needed to stay informed and involved. Some ways we share information with parents are in Tuesday folders, the Hexter Calendar, the school’s website, and periodic e-blast. If you need additional information, please speak with your child’s teacher or call the main office (972) 502-5800.
To the left is important information for parents about some of the most-frequently-asked-about school policies and procedures. These policies, along with others, may be found in the Hexter Student Handbook which is in the back of the Hexter Calendar.
