Victory Through Performance

The purpose of the Victory Through Performance Program is to reduce the number of students who drop out of school through a collaborative effort among local entities to provide services such as mentoring, academic support, attendance goals and support, workforce skill building, and student and parent support; field trips; and completion incentives to students.  This program funded through the Texas Education Agency.

The goals of the Victory Through Performance Program include
  • Increasing the number of students graduating from high school under at least the recommended high school program
  • Reducing the number of students who drop out of Dallas ISD high schools
  • Increasing students' job skills
  • Increasing students' employment opportunities
  • Providing continuing education opportunities for students who might otherwise have dropped out of school, including dropout recovery and re-entry programs
  • Preparing student to graduate college ready

The Victory Through Performance Program is being implemented at Franklin D. Roosevelt and W. W. Samuell high schools for selected 9th, 10th, and 12th grade students.
