New Dismissal Procedures Effective August 29, 2016
Dear Weiss Parents:
Thank you for your patience as we work to ensure a safe, efficient dismissal routine. This letter is to inform you of changes to our dismissal procedures. In order to ensure student safety, the City of Dallas and the Dallas Police Department has advised our campus not to use the I-20 service road as a pick up location for students. Therefore, dismissal will be adjusted starting Monday August 29.
CAR RIDERS First through Fifth (Yellow Tags must be in windshield.)
All 1-5 Car Riders will be picked up from the circle drive in the front entrance via the carpool lane. Please be sure to display your yellow tag, so the line may run effectively and efficiently. Parents who use the car pool should not get out of their cars.
WALKERS First through Fifth
All 1-5 Walkers will be dismissed near the cafeteria entrance. A walker is a student who walks home alone or with a parent.
ALL KINDER AND PRE-K
All Kinder and Pre-K students can be picked up from the Pre-K wing. Parents can park, come in to get their student, and walk then back to their car. Parents of kindergarten walkers should also pick them up at the pre-k wing.
**If you have a kinder or pre-k car rider with an older sibling, you can pick them both up in the front car pool lane.
All bus riders will be escorted onto the bus by the designated staff member.
Thank you in advance for abiding by these guidelines to help us ensure the safety of our students.
