Library Reading Programs
Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) is the oldest and largest children's and family nonprofit literacy organization in the United States. RIF's highest priority is reaching underserved children from birth through 6th grade. RIF provides 4.5 million children with 16 million new, free books and literacy resources each year.
Book Fair- Book fairs are a great way to raise money for our library and books into the hands of students. Our Book Fair will be held in November 9-16 2012.
The Book It! national reading incentive program motivates children to read by rewarding them for their reading accomplishments. Teachers set monthly reading goals, and students who meet these goals receive a pizza award certificate redeemable at participating Pizza Hut restaurants.
The Texas Bluebonnet Award (TBA) reading program was established to encourage Texas children to read more books, explore a variety of current books, and identify their favorite books. TBA voting takes place in the spring.
