The DEF monitors expenses and provides donors with detailed reports of how their funds have been used.

Some of the partnerships are:

  • Atmos Energy and Madison High School
  • Southwest Airlines and Rusk Middle School
  • ACS (Affiliated Computer Services) and Spence Middle School

Texas Instruments Foundation Innovation in STEM Teaching Award 2009

Dallas ISD classroom teachers in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) in grades 7 to 12 will be honored and rewarded through an awards program sponsored by the Texas Instruments Foundation.

Seven recipients will each receive a cash award of $10,000, of which $5,000 is directly awarded to the classroom teacher and the other $5,000 to be used at the discretion of the teacher for professional development and/or instructional technology.

The Texas Instruments Foundation has created this award to honor innovative classroom teachers who are greatly enhancing student achievement and increasing interest in STEM classrooms.
