Additions to Schools
By the time the $1.37 billion bond program is completed, 57 existing schools in the district will have received new additions. The extent of these additions ranges from just a handful of new rooms to more than 100,000 square feet of new space. While most schools will be receiving new classrooms, many also will gain science and computer labs, new or larger media centers, band halls, dance studios, gyms, circulation areas, and office and support spaces, as well as new parking lots and playfields. Many additions are already complete and almost all others are currently under construction.
