Rufus C. Burleson Elementary School is in the finishing stages of renovations to nearly 47,000 square feet of building area, including: roof repairs; Americans with Disabilities Act work; and upgrades to fire alarm and suppression systems, technology infrastructure, and air conditioning system. The school also is receiving an addition of about 33,000 square feet featuring 19 new classrooms and a media center.
