John B. Hood Middle School in East Dallas received renovations to nearly 145,000 square feet of building area, as well as an addition of about 24,500 square feet. The renovations included: roof repairs; Americans with Disabilities Act work; upgrades to fire alarm and suppression systems and technology infrastructure; science room upgrades; and air conditioning system upgrades to the gym. The school's addition contains 16 new classrooms, support spaces, and new restrooms.
