Renovations to Roger Q. Mills Elementary School near Renner Park in Oak Cliff were completed in the summer of 2005. Key improvements included: new fire alarm and suppression systems; heating and air conditioning system upgrades; extensive electrical system upgrades; technology infrastructure upgrades; accessibility improvements; a new elevator; two new wheelchair lifts; and roof repairs. In addition, certain ceilings, lighting fixtures, and doors were replaced, and some minor interior modifications were made.
