Renovations to nearly 172,000 square feet of Franklin D. Roosevelt High School were completed in the summer of 2005. Improvements included: roof repairs; Americans with Disabilities Act work; upgrades to fire alarm and suppression systems, technology infrastructure, and air conditioning system; replacement of some windows; and science lab upgrades.
