Thomas J. Rusk Middle School in northwest Dallas received renovations to nearly 82,800 square feet of building area, as well as an approximately 24,000-square-foot addition. The renovations included: a new roof; a new fire alarm system; Americans with Disabilities Act work; and upgrades to fire suppression systems, technology infrastructure, and air conditioning system. The school's addition added 16 classrooms, an assistant principal's office, a book room, and a teacher workroom.
