Renovations to Clinton P. Russell Elementary School were completed in the fall of 2004. The work included: critical mechanical, electrical, and plumbing renovations to chiller, boiler, heating, and air conditioning systems; upgrades to the electrical system, technology infrastructure, and fire suppression and alarm systems; roof replacement; and modifications to ceilings and lighting fixtures. In addition, Texas Accessibility Standards work was conducted on ramps, restrooms, and drinking fountains, and a new elevator was installed. Outside the school, the brick facade was repaired and the parking area was expanded.
