Ascher Silberstein Elementary School, located near Lawnview Park in East Dallas, received a two-story, 32,043-square-foot addition featuring 17 new classrooms, a library/media room expansion, an administration area, a technology room, and a book storage room. The addition, which is connected to the existing building by an enclosed hallway, created a new front entry with a drop-off lane in the front parking lot.
The school also received extensive renovations including: Texas Accessibility Standards work to ramps and restrooms; critical mean effective pressure renovations including chiller, boilers, heating and cooling systems, and electrical upgrades; upgrades to fire alarm and suppression systems; roof repair; ceiling and lighting modifications; technology infrastructure upgrades; conversion of the existing library into two classrooms; and conversion of the existing administration area into staff dining facility and cafeteria dry storage area. Outside improvements included an expanded parking area.
