Renovations to H. Grady Spruce High School were completed in the fall of 2005. The work included: new fire alarm and suppression systems; modification and enhancement to ventilation and air conditioning systems; extensive upgrades to the electrical system; technology infrastructure upgrades; accessibility improvements; major ceiling and lighting replacement; renovation of some of the science laboratories; and minor interior modifications. In addition, the outside of the school received minor brick and fascia repair and roof repairs.
