Martin Weiss Elementary School near Danieldale Park in South Dallas received renovations to nearly 45,000 square feet of building area, as well as an 20,000-square-foot addition. The renovations included: roof repairs; Americans with Disabilities Act work; and upgrades to fire alarm and suppression systems, technology infrastructure, and air conditioning system. Further, the previous library space was converted into two additional classrooms. The school's new addition features 10 classrooms, a media center, an administration area (including a bookroom), student and adult restrooms, and maintenance and custodial spaces.
