Renovations to nearly 81,000 square feet of Whitney M. Young Jr. Elementary School near Veterans Park in Oak Cliff were completed in the summer of 2005. Improvements included: roof repairs; Americans with Disabilities Act work; and upgrades to fire alarm and suppression systems, technology infrastructure, and air conditioning system.
