    School Library Month (SLM) is the American Association of School Librarians' (AASL) celebration of school librarians and their programs.  The 2015 celebration marks the 30th Anniversary of School Library Month.     Mark your calendar! On April 25, 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. The Center for a New Generation Boys and Girls Club of Greater Dallas will participate in the Math Blazers Contest.  Dunbar's BGC Scholars will take part in this event, which consists of a Math 4-Member Relay Team, Beat the Clock, Best Spirit Cheer, and Best Banner.  Come out and support our scholars at the Boys and Girls Club Grand Prairie location, 1000 Enterprise Street.

    PLEASE NOTE:  Round-Up is for all Pre-K students and only those Kindergarten students who are enrolling in school for the FIRST TIME.
    Listed below are the "MUST HAVES" required for registration.
    Birth Certificate
    Social Security Card (If available)
    Parent/Guardian Picture ID
    Proof of Address (Utility Bill showing current address)
    Immunization (Shot) Records
    Income Verification (W-2, a current SNAP or TANF Case Number, current pay stub [will be re-verified in July], notarized letter from employer on company letterhead).

    Do you have a 3 or 4-year old child?  Do you want your child to be suceessful in school?  Are you willing to spend 15 minutes every day with your child?  If you answered "YES",  then HIPPY is for you!  HIPPY is a FREE Dallas ISD program that will provide you with:  *An instructor that will show you how to work with your child; *Children's books, crayons, scissors, and shapes; *Weekly lesson packets to help you teach your child; *Meetings once a month at Dunbar Learning Center for ideas on parenting as well as various workshops; *Special events and educational field trips
