2008 Election Information: General Information

Public Notice Announcement

The Dallas Independent School District posts this notice in compliance with 28 C.F.R. 51.28(g) as follows:

On November 20, 2008 at a Regular called meeting, the Dallas Independent. School District Board of Trustees passed into effect modifications to the Election System. This change was accomplished pursuant to the Texas Open Meetings Act, VTCA Govt. Code
Section 551.071 et seq., which requires that vote and deliberations be held publicly. In addition, the change was accomplished by majority vote.

As required, the change was submitted on November 24, 2008 to the United States Attorney General for Pre-clearance consideration. A copy of the Pre-clearance Submission is available fix public review during business hours at the Dallas Independent School District Superintendent's Office. which is located at the 3100 Ross Avenue, Dallas. Texas. Any person wishing to make comment on the modification for the consideration of the United States Attorney General may submit said comment to:
