  • PreK Registration

Pre-K registration will begin during our Hexter Pre-K & K RoundUp on Thursday, April 6 from 6-7pm.

Dallas ISD offers both free and tuition-based Pre-K programs. For both programs, a child must be four years old on or before September 1, 2017. Hexter does not offer tuition-based Pre-K. Children can attend Dallas ISD Pre-K for free, if, they meet at least ONE of the following requirements:

    1.  The child is eligible to take part in the national free or reduced-price school lunch program.
    2.  The child is unable to speak and comprehend the English language.
    3.  The child is homeless.
    4.  The child is a dependent of an active duty member of the U.S. armed forces.
    5.  The child is or has been in foster care.

Again, they only have to meet ONE of these requirements.

New this year: an on-line application must be completed and all supporting documentation submitted at one time to be considered for Pre-K. No paper applications will be accepted. Before beginning the on-line application, you must obtain a student identification number from the main office.

You may visit the CRC, Zurhaya Hernandez for assistance. To complete your online registration, please visit http://www.prekdallas.org/en/homepage/.
