Daniela Mora, an 8th graader at Robert T Hill Middle School began Teens for Jeans last school year and collected over 1,000 pairs of gently used jeans for the homeless.
She is collecting jeans this year via the Teens for Jeans program. Realizing that over a million young people are homeless every year, Daniela is striving to make a difference in the community. She did the program last as an opportunity to win a scholarship to college. The experience opened her eyes to the importance of giving and working as a team with the school communtiy. Her goal is to collect 8,000 pairs of jeans this year.
Each grade level is asked to donate gently used jeans that are in fair condition (any size, or color jeans from infant to adult). The deadline to turn in jeans is February 29, 2016. The donations will go to homeless people in our school's community.
Clean out your closet and donate the jeans.Donations can be delivered to the school library.
