The Dallas Independent School District Food & Child Nutrition Services Department, in conjunction with the Texas Department of Agriculture is sponsoring the 2008 Summer Food Service Program. The purpose of the Summer Food Service Program is to ensure the youth of Dallas will not go without proper nutrition during the summer months. The Program will operate Monday through Friday beginning on June 9 and ending August 8, 2008. Meal service will not be provided on the 4th of July. The participating sites will be located at parks, recreation centers, churches, and other activity centers throughout Dallas; including locations spanning from North Dallas to Oak Cliff, as well as neighborhoods in West, East, and South Dallas.
