The Minority/Women Business Enterprise (M/WBE) Department remains an integral component of
the Dallas ISD. M/WBE Department received numerous awards for their strong commitment to
minority and women-owned businesses.
 A continuing
goal of the M/WBE Department is to maximize the participation of M/WBEs in all phases of
the district's purchasing and contracting activities. The district's overall M/WBE goal is
30 percent. The district's M/WBE bond project goals are 35 percent for professional
services and 30 percent for construction.
The M/WBE Department focuses on community
outreach, contract compliance and monitoring, business development, and in-reach
initiatives. |
