In the Dallas ISD, students have the opportunity to participate
in a variety of Agricultural Science and Technology Education
courses including animal science, plant science and agricultural
mechanics.
The program is designed to develop competencies needed by
high school students preparing to enter agribusiness careers.
Agricultural Science and Technology Education is offered at
Seagoville High School and Skyline High School.
The traditional agricultural science programs offered focus
on animal science, agricultural mechanics, metal fabrication
technology, wildlife and horticulture. In addition, the program
provides students an opportunity to learn about plant production,
plant tissue culture, landscape design, floral design and
related career opportunities.
FFA activities are an integral part of the Agricultural Science
and Technology Education program. Opportunities for developing
