Youth Organization

Business Professionals of America is a student organization  for those enrolled
in Business Education contributes to the advancement of leadership, citizenship, personal growth, academic, and technological skills. This organization serves as a cohesive agent in the worldwide networking of

education, business, and industry. Competitive events enhance career/job preparation, workplace competencies, self-confidence, and the instructional program. Students compete in Regional, State, and National competitions.

Congratulations to the Business Professional of America at School of Business - Townview Center where the Regional President for 2005-2006 is a member.

During 2004-2005 there were 38 BPA state qualifiers, 26 state alternate qualifiers, 2 national qualifiers, 6 state Torch award winners, 5 Ambassador Torch award winners, 3 BECP scholarship, 1 DISD Superintendent's Award winners, 2 Northwood University winners. W. T. White High School was named "most spirited" school at the Northwood University competition.

Thirteen students also participate in the University Interscholastic League competitions in Accounting and Computer Applications.
