| Opportunities
to develop and apply leadership, social, civic, and
business-related skills are provided through the
SkillsUSA, the student organization for young people
enrolled in trade and industrial programs.

As
an integral part of the instructional program, SkillsUSA
activities enhance and expand classroom instruction.
Activities are directly related to the objectives of courses
in Trade and Industrial Education. |
During
2004-2005 there were 32 students who were district winners
(1st, 2nd, 3rd place) and 11 state contest winners (1st, 2nd,
3rd place). Two students qualified for national competition.
Three district officers were elected for 2005-2006; one state
officer and two national officers. |
