School
Zone Dallas
School Zone Dallas is a 30-minute television program hosted by Dallas
ISD students. The Emmy-award winning program airs in primetime on
WFAA Channel 8; KERA Channel 13 and district cable channel 12B/98
digital on Time Warner Cable System of Dallas. School Zone Dallas
features the stories of the unsung heroes within DISD-outstanding
teachers and students, dedicated volunteers and corporations, as
well as innovative ideas in place in our classrooms.For more information,

Nuevos
Amigos
Nuevos Amigos is a distance learning program designed
to bring Spanish language instruction to English-speaking students
in the elementary schools through a fun and interactive manner. |

DSTV is proud to present live, interactive math
programs three days a week after school. On Mondays, the “Algebra
Playbook” take calls from students in classrooms throughout
the district. On Tuesdays, “Calculate This” is designed
to help 7th and 8th grade students brush up on their math while
on Wednesdays, “It All Adds Up” is geared toward
5th and 6th graders. Each of the programs matches the scope
and sequence of the TEKS curriculum. The shows can be seen on
Time Warner Cable Dallas, Channel 12B/98 Digital.
