Master Naturalists
Master Naturalists are a core of well-informed volunteers providing education, outreach, and service
dedicated
to the beneficial management of natural resources and natural areas within our
communities.
Master Naturalist training
includes over 40 hours of intensive classroom and field-based instruction with
an emphasis on local ecosystems conducted by experts in:

Ecology

Geology
q
Aquaculture
q
Archeology/paleontology
q
Climate
q
Wildlife Diversity
q
Forest/Wetland/Prairie Management
After Graduation from
the training program:
Master Naturalists continue
their education annually with eight hours of advanced training and 40 hours of
service in local activities like:

Nature Trail Development
q
Wildlife Surveys/Monitoring
q
Educational Presentations
q
Land Restoration
q
Demonstration projects and more.
