Join the north Texas chapter of the

Texas Master Naturalists

 

Master Naturalists are a core of well-informed volunteers providing education, outreach, and service

dedicated to the beneficial management of natural resources and natural areas within our communities.

  The Training:

Master Naturalist training includes over 40 hours of intensive classroom and field-based instruction with an emphasis on local ecosystems conducted by experts in:

q       Ecology

q       Geology

q       Aquaculture

q       Archeology/paleontology

q       Climate

q       Wildlife Diversity

q       Forest/Wetland/Prairie Management and more.

After Graduation from the training program:

Master Naturalists continue their education annually with eight hours of advanced training and 40 hours of service in local activities like:

q       Nature Trail Development

q       Wildlife Surveys/Monitoring

q       Educational Presentations

q       Land Restoration

q       Demonstration projects and more.

Cost: $150.00 (50% will be refunded if you certify by December 31, 2006)

              Field Trip fee is $25, nonrefundable. Scholarships are available.
