Mission Statement
The Environmental Education Center exists to:
- Preserve and protect the natural resources at the
Center and the Dallas County Post Oak Preserve for future generations and to interpret the
natural history of North Texas to a predominantly urban student/visitor population.
- Provide unique outdoor learning experiences that
support, extend and enrich the curriculum of the Dallas Independent School
District.
- Assist visitors of all ages, backgrounds and
cultures in developing awareness, knowledge, skills and attitudes resulting in a more
environmentally literate citizenry.
- Teach respect and appreciation for all life and
model constructive actions towards the environment upon which all life depends.
