Campus Data Support

Sam Iliya, Executive Director

Campus Data Support provides support to school and central office staff in the maintenance and use of accurate and timely computer-based student information applications, which includes student demographic, enrollment, withdrawal, scheduling, grade reporting, daily attendance, and special program information. The department provides regularly scheduled high intensity computer-based training sessions, one-to-one computer-based training, and day-to-day telephone and/or on-site support in the use of the computer-based student information system.

Demographic Studies

Glenna Taite, Director

Demographic Studies is responsible for analyzing trends in DISD student demographics and regional population demographics, using the DISD student database, census data, facilities data, and geographic information. Products include enrollment projections; design of attendance zones; facilities profile survey; and recommendations to the Future Facilities Task Force for locations for new schools, sizes of additions, feeder patterns, and grade reconfigurations. Presentation wall maps and street guides are designed and published by Demographic Studies for distribution to the public.

PEIMS

Frank Tyminski, Executive Director

Members of the PEIMS (Public Education Information Management System) staff are responsible for the extraction, analysis and reporting of student, staff, budget and previous year financial data in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with annual guidelines provided by the Texas Education Agency. In addition the department provides guidance and support to school and central office administrators in daily quality assurance activities related to the reported data.

Pupil Accounting

Belva Davis, Director

The Pupil Accounting staff collects, processes, and reviews summary electronic attendance data from schools on a regularly scheduled basis and makes the electronic files available for use in a timely manner for PEIMS reporting and use by District decision-makers (e.g. Evaluation and Accountability, School Operations). In addition the department maintains the District’s District-Wide Street Directory which serves as the electronic guide to the District’s school assignment plan for students. Maintenance, storage, and retrieval of inactive and archival paper-based student records for district and community use is another function performed by our staff.
