There are several ways to participate in online learning in Dallas ISD. If you look at the column on the left, you will see a number of links to universities offering free courses, course materials, or lectures. Some of these lectures are published as podcasts or webcasts. Of course, you will not earn credit for any of these free courses in which you participate and you will not have guidance from or access to the teaching staff. These courses are offered simply for self-study. The level of the course offerings varies from that of the beginning university student on up through the graduate level learner.
But, perhaps you're just looking for a little help with Microsoft Word or need to understand something more about your email account. In that case, you may find what you are after in our video tutorial section. Here we have a series of short videos that may provide you with the answers you are looking for. If you can't find it there, suggest a tutorial to the staff.
Certainly, though, our most ambitious entry into the area of online learning is through our online course delivery system, My Dallas ISD Online. There are currently over 17,000 users registered in this portal and over 250 courses in the course listings. Some of these courses are still under construction, some are designated for specific audiences, and others are open for general use.
Do you have an account on My Dallas ISD Online? You probably do. Our accounts include nearly all of the teaching and administrative staff in the district. To see if you do, simply visit My Dallas ISD Online and click on the "Login" link at the top of the page. Your employee ID has been set as both your username and your password. |

As they are as they are created, courses are categorized by topic for easy browsing. Some are open for immediate enrollment while others require participants to be enrolled by the instructor.
