- Need
a logon and password? If you are in the biometric clock, you
can touch "Password Reset" and follow the prompts
to key in your employee ID number, etc. When the display ends
your logon or username will be displayed on the screen. This
action also resets your password to your social security number
(without the dashes). Go back to your computer and use this
same username and your SSN to logon to Oracle. If you are
not in the biometric clock, call the Technical Assistance
Center (TAC) at 972.925.5630.
- What
is the Oracle URL or address to access from the internet?
There are two different URLs or addresses to access Oracle.
The address for Oracle from a DISD computer and the address from home?
You will need an internet account at home as well.
- What
if my internet service provider (ISP) uses some browser other
than Internet Explorer, such as AOL? You will need to logon
to your ISP as usual, but then minimize the window (click
on the minus sign found at the top right side of the window)
and double click on the Internet Explorer browser icon found
on the desktop or on your start menu.
- Where
can I find a copy of my training record? After you have logged
on to Oracle, click on DISD Employee Self-Service and scroll
down to Training Services > Training History. You may print
your history by clicking on the Print button found at the
top right corner of the window.
- I am
trying to enroll in a class and the message says, "your
search found no classes". What happened? One of two things
may have happened. One, you typed in more than the event code
on the top line of the Activity Keyword Search or Event Code.
Do not choose any of the search criteria if you know the event
or session code number. Just type in the event code at the
top and click the Search button at the bottom on the window.
Secondly, the event or class may have closed for registration.
Registration closes 3 days before the event to allow adequate
time for processing the class packets and training certificates.
- What
if I have a username and password but they do not work or
allow me to logon to Oracle? Call the Technical Assistance
Center (TAC) at 972.925.5630. If you have already called them
and what they told you to do still does not work, call them
again and let them know what happened. They will be
able to solve your problem.
- I would
like to enroll in an event but I do not know the event code
or I do not have a hard copy of the Summer catalog. What can
I do? Go to our Professional Development and Staff Training
website and download the catalog for teachers or paraprofessionals or central
or campus administrators.
- My principal
or supervisor got a letter saying that I was a No Show to
an event. What should I have done? Be sure to logon to Oracle
and under Training Services choose Cancel an Enrollment before
the class begins. This allows others to take that enrollment
space.
- I registered
for an event but it stated on the enrollment status in my
training history that I was WAITLISTED. What does that mean?
That means that you are not registered and you cannot
attend the class as a walk-in. This feature of Oracle
allows the system to waitlist you, and if a staff member cancels
their enrollment prior to the 3 days before the event, Oracle
automatically moves the next person to that event. Update:
the term "WAITLISTED" has been changed to "NOT
ENROLLED" to make sure everyone understands that waitlist
status means that you are not enrolled and are not eligible
to attend class.
- How will
I know that my WAITLISTED or NOT ENROLLED status has changed
to Enrolled? You will not know if you do not get an email
of confirmation or if you do not check your training history
before the day of the class.
- I never
get emails of confirmation from Oracle when I register, etc.
What can I do? Check your training history online the day
before the class.
