    Kenneth Robinson Awarded Gates Millennium Scholarship!  
    Kenneth was selected out of 57,000 applicants, with only 1000 selected throughout the U.S. Recipients are awarded full tuition to any U.S. accredited university, up to graduate level in Computer Science, Education, Engineering, Library Science, Mathematics, Public Health or Science. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation funds the scholarship winners and calls them "...leaders for America's future." Kenneth has applied to Prairie View University, UT-Austin, Texas A and M and Rice University. Kenneth thanks the Kimball family saying, "...With the support of those around you and your own personal determination, you can make anything possible."

  • Justin F. Kimball STEM Magnet has partnered with Mountain View College Department of Engineering to bring a unique and rigorous magnet pathway for gifted and highly motivated individuals. Students who are accepted to the STEM magnet at Kimball will engage in dual-credit classes through Mountain View College in the field of Mechatronics. STEM - Click here for more information

  • Kimball Receives National Project Lead The Way Certification

    PLTW announced Kimball's Academy of Engineering Program is now nationally certified. A PLTW banner will be displayed at the school in the near future. The Site Visit Team made the following comments after visiting Kimball's AOE program: Outstanding Practices - Dedicated and enthusiastic teaching team. Very strong Partnership Team with good documentation. School is building a good reputation for its STEM Academy within the community, across the district, and outside the district boundaries. Good documentation of the progression of student learning with Engineering Notebooks and Student Portfolios. Congratulations to AOE teachers Ms. Brandy Stennis and Ms. Tracey Giardina as well as the rest of the STEM core teachers!

    Selected from over 823 players, 63 nominees in Texas! Congratulations, Jawun! He played on the East Team in Chicago's United Center on April 1st! Alumni include Shaquille O'Neal, Magic Johnson, LeBron James, Kobe Bryant and Grant Hill.

  • Wrestling Team Show Their Strength

    Two Kimball Knight wrestlers showed their Kimball Knight spirit in competition the first weekend in December. Avery Sims competed against Kaitlyn Ramirez of South Grand Prairie HS and won first place. Alfredo Benavidez competed against Fontanez of Seguin HS in the 132 wt. class and won first place. DISD District Dual was held December 10th, with 14 wrestlers advancing to Regional. From there, Avery Sim, Tyler Willis, Krystal Roberson, Janae Walker, Erica Alvarado advanced to State. Avery placed Second in the State. Congrats Avery! We always seek the best.
