Campus Services: Essential to the safety of more than 160,000 students and more than 10,000 teachers throughout the district, the Campus Services Division of the department is responsible for policing and security on more than 220 campuses. 
    There are almost 130 police and security personnel within this division, with almost 20 more positions to be filled within the 2006-07 school year. 
    The division is responsible for police and security and second watch (day) patrol for all campuses.  The staff in this division provide delivery of services to campuses daily to ensure a safe and secure learning environment.

Patrol Services:  Investigates accidents involving district vehicles; provides 24-hour-a-day, 365-day-a-year coverage of district facilities and schools, answering burglar and fire alarms, and responding  to calls for service, making the initial investigation of all crimes reported in the district.

Criminal Investigations Division:  A team of experienced law enforcement officers of the department make up the CID and perform follow-up investigations of all crime reported in the district.  Detectives in the department file criminal cases and help recover district property.

Support Services:  This division includes Athletic/Special Events, Communications, Internal investigations, Data Collections and Preservation, and Evidence Handling.
