Basic Qualifications
Applicants must have a high school diploma or United States equivalent; college/ university hours are preferred. Must comply with hiring standards set forth in the Texas Commission of Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education for Peace Officer licensing and hold a current TCLEOSE license by the state of Texas
The employment process will begin with a physical agility test which consists of:
· 300-meter-run
· One-minute push-ups
· One-minute sit-ups
Additional hiring procedures include:
· Interview and scenario-based writing exercises
· Background investigation
· Polygraph examination
· Psychological testing
· Medical examination including drug testing
About The Job
Most officers will begin their career in the Campus Services Division. The duty hours generally consist of a five-day workweek, eight hours per day, Monday — Friday, with full pay and benefits. Back....
