Teachers eligible for $10,000
An existing Dallas ISD teacher transferring from another school to an SLC campus must be full-time and assigned to a core subject teaching math, science, social studies, or English/language arts/reading with a 2008-09 CEI of 55 or above.
An existing Dallas ISD teacher who remains at the Targeted Impact School (SLC Campus) must be full-time and assigned to a core subject teaching math, science, social studies, or English/language arts/reading with a 2008-09 CEI of 55 or above.
Teachers eligible for $6,000
An existing Dallas ISD teacher transferring from another school to an SLC campus must be full-time and assigned to a core subject teaching math, science, social studies, or English/language arts/reading with a 2008-09 CEI range of 47.5 to 54.9.
An existing Dallas ISD teacher who remains at an SLC campus must be full-time and assigned to a core subject teaching math, science, social studies, or English/language arts/reading with a 2008-09 CEI range of 47.5 to 54.9.
A core teacher who is new to the district must be full-time and assigned to an SLC campus and assigned to teach a core subject of math, science, social studies, or English/language arts/reading with a 1st or 2nd quartile score on the Haberman Assessment.
An existing Dallas ISD teacher transferring from another school to an SLC campus/ an existing teacher at an SLC campus must be full-time and assigned to a core subject teaching math, science, social studies, or English/language arts/reading and who are without an existing 2008-09 CEI will be assessed via the Haberman for eligibility determination upon Principal assignment notification to Human Development.
Eligibility Criteria Validation
- Validation that a teacher is a core teacher is based on master schedule data in the student information system.
- CEI data will be validated by Evaluation & Accountability. (Division CEI will not be rounded.)
- All criteria must be documented and validated in order for payment to be made.
- Teacher must have valid subject area/grade level certification for core subject are assigned in which he/she is teaching.
Payments
For those who qualify in aforementioned categories:
- $ 10,000 for qualifying core teachers is paid in two payments, $5000 will be paid in November 2009 and $5000 in April 2010.
- $ 6,000 for qualifying core teachers is paid in two payments, $3000 will be paid in November 2009 and $3000 in April 2010.
(Note: The amounts listed here are gross amounts before employer deductions are taken. The gross amounts listed on the employee’s statement of earnings will reflect the amounts on which employee contributions are calculated.)
(Teachers hired after October 1, 2009 will not receive the November 2009 payment. Teachers hired after March 1, 2010 will not receive the April 2010 payment.)
