Our motto for 2008-09, “Mission Possible: On Course with Excellence,” speaks of our dedication to demonstrating excellence in both teaching and learning. The Hexter faculty is committed to providing rigorous and relevant learning opportunities tailored to challenge each child. Additionally, our outstanding PTA is an invaluable component in the success of our school. Through this partnership, we are able to provide further opportunities for our students to grow as community members, artists, friends, and individuals. Victor H. Hexter Elementary School

Hexter Elementary School is a nurturing and supportive school in the Halloween 1980
White Rock area with a commitment to preparing every child for college. Hexter provides a challenging curriculum for preschool 4 through fifth grade, a safe and secure learning environment, a variety of extracurricular programs, and positive support systems for families. Its motto for the 2008-2009 school year is, “Mission Possible: On Course with Excellence.”

Halloween 1980 Hexter was recognized for the 2007-2008 and 2006-2007 school years as a TEA Exemplary Campus. The school’s safety coordinator, Jenny Harris, was named Safety Coordinator of the Year in 2007-2008 and 2006-2007 for all of DISD.

In 2005-2006, 2001-2002, 1996-1997 and 1995-1996, Hexter was a TEA Recognized Campus. Also in 2001-2002, Hexter won three consecutive Excellence in Education Awards and the Texas Successful School System Award.
