About Hexter - Explorers After-School Program

Halloween 1980

Explorers is a teacher-facilitated, academic-based after-schoolcare program available five days a week from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

This program is an outstanding alternative to daycare or other after school programs because it is completely facilitated by our own teachers and staff. Each day starts with snacks an homework clinic where homework is checked and daily reading logs are completed. Most importantly, students receive special assistance with acadenics as a priority.

Many fun activities follow, including outdoor free play, computers, art, science projects, and organized gym games. Students in Explorers may participate in any after school club free of charge.

For more information, contact Diane Byrne in Hexter’s Attendance office at (972) 502-5808 or dbyrne@dallasisd.org.
