| Memorial Gardens at Stonewall |
 In
an effort to preserve the memory of those who have
been important to the Stonewall Community, a Memorial Garden
was created. Generous donations were made
in honor of Melissa Schutze and her son, to establish the
Memorial Garden as pictured above in 2001.
In
2003, in honor of Amy McBrayer, another parent who
gave generously of herself to the Stonewall community,
a special sitting area with picnic tables was created.
The Site Based Decision Making Committee (SBDM) consists of
representatives of the Stonewall community: parents, faculty,
and concerned persons from the neighborhood and deaf communities.
The SBDM is the child-centered organizational unit of the
community which focuses on assuring that all planning and
implementation of educational programs benefits the academic
and social development needs of our students. The entire
Stonewall Jackson community is invited to attend the SBDM's
monthly meetings Please check out the calendar for meeting times
or call the school office for details.
