Cheri Flynn's Art Class

The art curriculum encourages all students to solve problems by using creative thinking skills in a hands on activity. The students learn how to imaginatively express themselves using art tools and materials. They develop an awareness of natural and manmade objects, and they establish an awareness of self and others through art, culture, and heritage.

Mrs. Yonker's Computer Class

Students in the computer lab learn how to use technology to acquire information and enhance what they are learning in the classroom. Kindergarten, first and second grade, learn the basics of the computer, as well as applying software programs to create projects. Technology skills are also incorporated with language arts, math, science, and social studies skills. The third through sixth grades build on their knowledge of the computer by learning keyboarding, word processing skills and using the computer as a research and presentation tool, including the use of online resources. Project based learning, along with cooperative grouping is implemented throughout the year as part of the assessment process.
