Mission Statement
The philosophy of the Social Studies Department encompasses the total educational growth process. Each student brings into the classroom a different set of interests, attitudes, and abilities which are influenced by cultural, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. An essential responsibility of the School and the Department is the training of students in areas that provide for their development and are in accord with their capabilities, needs, and interests.
