Dear Parent/Guardian:

The Administration of Bryan Adams High School will implement a school wide, mandatory, standardized uniform policy for the 2007-2008 school year.  

Please see the attached information sheet describing the uniform for both females and males. A student new to Bryan Adams without a uniform will be asked to change into a uniform provided by the office. Parents will also be expected to provide the appropriate mandatory school uniforms for their children. Consequences for non-compliance will be based on the Dallas Independent School District’s Student Code of Conduct guidelines.

Parents/Guardians who do not wish to have their children wear the mandatory uniforms may choose to have their child exempted from the requirement or transferred to a school where students are not required to wear uniforms, provided space is available.   If a parent or guardian chooses to have his/her child exempted, the parent or guardian is required to provide a written statement justifying the reason for the objection to the uniform requirement. The parent/guardian must also present this written justification to the appropriate grade-level administrator during a pre-scheduled conference with the child’s administrator at Bryan Adams High School prior to the beginning of the 2007-2008 school year. All objections will be considered in accordance with district policies and procedures.
