English IV
English IV composition emphasizes informative, persuasive, and literary discourse, which demonstrates sophisticated syntax and vocabulary. Students use technology to produce error free text and research with documentation. They read widely from a variety of genres in British and world literature, analyzing literary forms and interpreting the influence of history. Students present and critique oral communications that include visuals and other media.

 

English IV ~ AP Literature and Composition
AP classes provide instruction and practice in reading a variety of genres, writing a wide variety of compositions, and listening and speaking at higher levels each year.  Students complete research projects that require them to understand and evaluate a variety of textual and visual materials.  They learn grammar, usage, vocabulary, and style analysis in preparation for the AP Literature and Composition exam.  For more information, please click here.
