Greetings NHDS Bulldogs and fans!!! I am the Lady Bulldog’s Head Basketball Coach Poe. Born and raised in the humble city of Chicago provided the drive and love I have for basketball today. I attended Milwaukee Area Technical College to receive an Associate Arts Degree in Business Management. Later, I changed my focus to education at the University Of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Education Policy. Soon after, I completed graduate school to receive Masters Degrees in Urban Education and Curriculum & Instruction. As a lifelong learner myself I strive to help young ladies reach their full academic and athletic potential. In 2002, I coordinated a girl’s basketball league made up of ten teams for the Neighborhood Children Summer League, as a way to develop interest in sports for young girls, ages six to fourteen, in Milwaukee. In addition to coaching for nine years, I have refereed both Football and Basketball games.
