Implementation > How Compass Works
Compass is a computer program that enables teachers to manage student information, make assignments, and monitor student progress. The curriculum courseware is installed on a computer called a file server. The curriculum management stystem is installed on a computer called a data station. The students run assignments on a computer called a workstation. The file server, data station, and student workstations are all connected over a network.
