ABOUT THE FLAG CORPS:
1. Flag Corps members must pass all classes in order to perform.
2. Flag Corps members perform with the band at all football games
each week for 10 weeks games are on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday.
3. Members will be expected to attend summer band during the
month of July or August when scheduled by the band director.
4. Members will be expected to meet all financial deadlines set
by the sponsor. No uniforms or
equipment will be released until all financial obligations
are met.
5. Members with jobs will be expected to attend all rehearsals
and performances.
6. Members will rehearse each day during 1st period - band class.
Night rehearsals will be one night a week during UIL season.
Flag sectionals
are held with the band director. Members will be expected to attend
all special rehearsals scheduled by the sponsor, band director
or captain.
7. Members are expected to call the band hall at 972-502-7328
if they will be late or will miss a performance due to an emergency.
Jobs, babysitting and routine medical and dental appointments
are not considered emergencies.
8. Members will be expected to maintain a positive attitude toward
the organization, other members, performance rehearsal, the
sponsor, the band director, classroom teachers, and school
in general. Poor attitudes may result in suspension or dismissal
from the squad.
9. Members will earn a PE credit in the fall and a Fine Arts
credit in the spring. Not attending performances and rehearsal
can
endanger this credit.
10. Flag Corps costs approx. $200.00 but do not let money keep
you from joining! Payments can be arranged. It is not all due
at
one time.
