Fidelity Future Stage program recognizes excellence, so it is no
surprise that they selected the Thomas Jefferson Pride and Spirit
band as the recipient of new musical instruments. Two of our talented
musicians are seen here with a Fidelity representative and their
band directors.

Through
a program called "Operation Comeback," DISD Superintendent
Michael Hinojosa, Thomas Jefferson Principal Eddie Conger and Dallas
Mayor Tom Leppert (left to right) went door-to-door in the TJ attendance
area on a rainy Saturday to find students who did not return to
school this year.

For
eight days in August, 80 incoming Freshmen came to Thomas Jefferson's
Early Start program to get a jump start on the upcoming school year.
Here, two students design a T-shirt to demonstrate understanding

Dr.
Sardul Singh is honored as a winner of the Dallas Education Foundation/Texas
Instruments innovations in teaching Science, Technology, Engineering
and Math award. Only seven DISD secondary teachers were selected
for the STEM award. Congratulations, Dr. Singh!

Nurse Carole Taylor (left center) smiles with her family as she
is honored to become one of Dallas Fort Worth's 100 Great Nurses.
While 100 were chosen, Ms. Taylor is the only DISD school nurse
