Reconnection is one of Dallas ISD's
alternative programs which allows students the opportunity to
recover credits while remaining on their traditional building
schedule. This ensures students may stay on track academically
in their quest for graduation.
Credit Recovery is available only for students that have previously
been enrolled in a course and received no credit for it (failure
or NG). Most core academic courses and a few electives are offered
as well as DCP. The Diversified Career Program provides Reconnect
students who are employed with the opportunity to earn 1.5 elective
credits per semester.
The self-paced curriculum is aligned with the District's curriculum
and NovaNet software, creating coursework of on-line study and
bookwork.
Students must check with their counselor for eligibility and
necessary program requirements.
Since 2000, Reconnection has been instrumental in helping a large
number of seniors graduate each year.
