WTW 1st Batallion History

W. T. White opened  in 1964 with an Army JROTC unit.  However, the unit was disestablished in 1974.  The current and only Marine Corps JROTC unit in DISD was established in 2001.   Presently designated a company, the unit was re-designated a battalion during the school year of 2006-2007.
