SAILOR

by Agustin Olide

Ye old Sailor.
What is your name?
My life is a killer from wave to wave.
The air in my hair.
The smell of the sea.
I come from the water or fish and stream.
The thunder is striking the wave of the sea.
My boat is sinking.
Bye-bye to me.

GIVE ME A PEN

by Erica Meza

Gimme a pen and I'll let you see,
All the pain and suffering that's in me.
Gimme a pen and I'll write a poem,
That you could relate to, no matter my tone.

Gimme a pen and I'll let my emotions go,
Let my rhymes out - I'll go with the flow.
Gimme a pen and I'll write you a song,
A song that'll keep you dancin' all night long.

Gimme a pen and I'll make you cry,
Words that hit your heart; our eyes won't be dry.
Gimme a pen and I'll write a flow-
Yeah, you'd already know.

Gimme a pen and I'll soothe your mood,
You'll eat my words just like food.
Gimme apen and I'll say things you won't.
You care what people think. Yeah, well I don't.

Gimme a pen and I'll flip the script.
Think I care 'bout what you say, well that's a trip.
Gimme a pen and I'll tell it straight.
Yeah, you know I won't hesitate.

FULL MOON

by Sonja Smith

Shining high above the sky.
Taunting endlessly to those who pass by.
Too far away to touch you physically.
Too bright it shines to drive you crazy.
Upon its face it will show
The truth of the night for it does know.
Bringing warnings of things to come.
Causing influence of that one sum.
Howling wind, choking night.
Best to just keep out of sight
Things are crazy, many are loon.
This is what happens on a full moon.
