The purpose of the H.W. Longfellow Student Council
is to promote leadership and involvement in student
activities, planned and led by the students themselves.
Members of Student Council can plan fundraisers, dances,
holiday activities, and propose changes in school
policy for the benefit of the student body. Not only
do students have a voice through the Executive Board
of the Student Council, but each of the homeroom classes
elect a representative. Representatives can influence
the Board's decisions. Meetings are held once a month
under the direction of the Student Council sponsors-Toni Alexander , Tiffany Anyanwu and Helen Jones. .
